The primary responsibility of this role is to Create Loyal Customers by assuring that we do not lose sales due to inventory errors or pricing & coupon errors, which slow down the cash registers affecting the customer experience.
This person will assist with the register speed, inventory accuracy, cash drawer accuracy, location code accuracy & bin/sale tag price accuracy.
This person will also ensure our customers have a superior shopping experience while in our stores.

Daily Report Responsibilities:
Responsible for working the Price Exception Report
Responsible for working the Negative Quantity On Hand Report
Responsible for working the Non-Sku Sales Report
Responsible for reviewing the IN Sku Report
Cash Office Responsibilities:
Ensure the Cash Drawers are balanced daily
Daily Bank Deposits made
Oversee Cashier procedures and work with lead cashiers when problems arise.
Ensure that all Google Doc Reports updated daily.
Make sure the daily sales charts updated for the employees to view
Ensure Coupons & Chamber Bucks are handled according to policy
Count the Cash Drawers as needed
Purchase Orders and Receiving:
Ensure Stock Not Kept items ordered weekly
Ensure approved Store Supplies ordered as needed
Ensure that direct orders are received with the RF gun (especially new vendors/items)
Oversee the management of Policy A, B, and C processes.
Ensure transfers are received in the computer system immediately.
Keep the outstanding transfers updated and current
Ensure receiving is completed correctly, ASAP, and ready for payment in the Epicor system.
Inventory Control:
Assist with Mango as directed by the Inventory & Office Supervisor & Store Manager
Assist with Shooting the Outs as directed by the Inventory & Office Supervisor & Store Manager
Assist with Bin Tags and Pricing (regular and sale) displayed.
Assist with price changes so they will be completed accurately and on time.
Assist with Location Code Reports.
Proficient with the Epicor RF Gun and Printer.
Customer Service & Sales Floor:
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management via Trello
Always be working on your own development with guidance from your Management team
Assist in the training and development of peers
Actively participate in daily huddle meetings
Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
Guarantee all customers can process through the register in a timely and convenient manner
Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
Responsive to safety issues - identify them and inform the management team immediately
Conscious of shoplifting activity
Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.
com, as well as, processing special orders
Actively participate in the Ace Rewards program and share the benefits with our customers
Answer customers questions and provide information on procedures and policies
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
Maintain work areas that are safe and presentable

Education/Training: High School degree
Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent quantitative and computer skills.
