Local management group seeks experienced person with strong leadership ability to oversee all aspects of running 120 market rate apartments of a multi-site portfolio in Valparaiso.
This is a full-time position with Monday - Friday office hours.
Responsibilities
The Manager is responsible and accountable for on-site operations.
The Manager will:
• Show apartments to perspective residents.
• Process new applications.
• Handle lease negotiations and renewals.
• Oversee maintenance staff.
• Assist with marketing and leasing activities as requested.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee rent collection, rent ledger, bank deposits and petty cash records, delinquent rents, evictions, maintaining curb appeal, etc.
• Report information to the direct supervisor and owners.
• Be involved with resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations with diplomacy.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate is able to multitask, lead, and display excellent customer service skills.
This candidate should possess a solid track record of managing the financial aspects of their business with the ability to exceed expectations and increasingly improve results.
The candidate should demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance.
Strong computer, accounting software, sales, and organizational skills required.
The ideal candidate should possess an eye for detail in order to improve the physical appeal of the exterior & interior of the properties.
