Recreation Therapist

The Recreation Therapist will provide individual 1:1 recreational therapy services to client's in their home and/or local community.
The therapist must have a reliable transportation and be willing to drive to and from clients.
Therapists are encouraged to take their clients to local community interests for therapy sessions, which can include but is not limited to: bowling, stores, sporting facilities, swimming, gymnasiums, and parks.
Therapists have an opportunity to build and maintain their caseload to fit their preferred schedules.
You will also have full autonomy to choose therapeutic interventions and techniques in order to work towards completing individual goals and objectives.
Responsibilities: * Independently manage your own caseload * Assess each individual's needs using a standard recreational therapy assessment and develop appropriate treatment plans.
* Track client goals and objectives in order to effectively prepare client quarterly reports to indicate progress.
* Planning and providing appropriate recreational therapy activities.
* Complete progress notes each session.
* Attend quarterly meetings with team members to report therapy progress with team members.
Eligibility: * Current CTRS certification or ability to obtain certification to practice in Indiana as a Recreational Therapist prior to start date.
* Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
The degree must be in therapeutic recreation or recreational therapy.
* Ability to drive with a valid drivers license and insurance with 50,000/100,000 minimum coverage.
* CPR certification * Negative TB Test * Clean criminal history * Competence in Microsoft Office and Excel * Reliable laptop or tablet to complete documentation remotely.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $48.
