Job Description
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools
General Summary: Warsaw Community Schools and Warsaw Adult Education are seeking a highly qualified and dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Warsaw Adult Education.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all Adult Education staff, ensuring their effective performance and alignment with organizational goals.
You will play a key role in shaping personnel policy, making final decisions on matters related to staff management.
Additionally, you will approve schedule changes to optimize staffing efficiency and facilitate regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities to foster growth and collaboration among team members.
Your expertise will be pivotal in initiating and advising on new program development initiatives, as well as advising on the purchase of curriculum and teaching materials to enhance instructional effectiveness.
As the primary grant writer, you will be responsible for crafting compelling proposals to secure funding for program expansion and sustainability.
You will also be tasked with ensuring that the program operates within budgetary constraints, while maximizing resources for optimal impact.
Proactive advocacy efforts will involve initiating publicity campaigns to raise awareness of Warsaw Adult Ed and representing the program on regional committees such as the Region 2 Adult Education Consortium.
Moreover, you will lead efforts to develop programming and collaborations with businesses to address workforce training needs and enhance community engagement.
Through diligent examination of data on the county's workforce readiness and viability, you will inform strategic decision-making to drive program enhancements and ensure alignment with community needs.

Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee all Adult Education staff
Make final decisions about personnel policy
Approve schedule changes
Facilitate staff meetings and professional development opportunities for Warsaw Adult Education staff
Initiate and advise regarding new program development
Advise on the purchase of curriculum and teaching materials
Write grant proposals
Ensure that the program is living within the constraints of the budget
Initiate publicity efforts on behalf of Warsaw Adult Ed
Represent Warsaw Adult Ed on the Region 2 Adult Education Consortium and other region-wide committees
Develop programming, pilots, and collaboration with businesses for onsite workforce trainings, ELL classes, HSE
prep, or anything needed for their workforce
Examine data for county’s workforce readiness and viability
Program Oversight:
The Director of Warsaw Adult Education will directly report to the Assistant Superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools, collaborating closely to ensure strategic alignment and effective policy implementation.
Guidance on personnel matters and policy decisions will be provided by the Assistant Superintendent.
Financial oversight and budget management will be coordinated by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Warsaw Community Schools and their dedicated staff.
Additionally, the Director of Warsaw Adult Education will maintain regular communication with the Assistant Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) to ensure seamless coordination between Adult Education and WCS CTE programs, thereby meeting the diverse needs of all stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Higher Degrees and Certification preferred but not required).
Length of Contract: 225 days
Salary: Based on experience and skill
