General Manager Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Signarama and its team members.
Additionally, the GM will develop and execute strategies to ensure business objectives are met within budget.
The GM owns the oversight and implementation of the Six Keys to Success: quality, customer service, community involvement, advertising, active marketing, and brand awareness.
The General Manager is a regular, full-time position, with bonuses paid for monthly store sales.
Work hours are 8:30 am-5 pm Monday through Friday.
The General Manager reports to the Managing Partner and works closely with the DOO & Print Manager of ADS.
Responsibilities:
Manage Signarama staff and ensure all systems and processes contribute to goal achievement.
Enforce all company policies and procedures; work with Owners (and DOO when necessary) to revise and/or develop policies, procedures, and processes to betters suit the needs of the company, customers, etc.
Manage and maintain Corebridge, Rackspace, Gorilla Dash, and all other company systems.
Ensure all payments are received and processed in compliance with company policy.
Conduct daily production/planning meeting with key staff to ensure projects are on target.
Monitor & evaluate sales vs goals; support the sales team in goal attainment.
Monitor & evaluate workflows and work with DOO to ensure printing and production processes are maximally effective.
Source and order materials, verifying that invoices are generated correctly and maximize profitability; evaluate material costs and update Corebridge annually.
Education, Qualifications and Requirements:
5+ years of management experience
Knowledge and understanding of working within a franchise environment, preferably in a leadership capacity.
Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to manage multiple people and projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record demonstrating problem solving and decision-making skills that benefit business operations.
Must be highly self-motivated and able to take initiative without explicit instructions.
Prior knowledge or experience in signage and/or printing preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and/or performing repetitive tasks
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand, bend, squat, lift, etc.
