Job Location: Plymouth, IN
Summary:
Managing day to day operations & logistics of warehouse, including supervising & directing the warehouse team.
Responsibilities:
Plans the layout of warehouse and other storage areas considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored; maintains physical conditions of the warehouse and related equipment
Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventories current
Advises and directs employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock
Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, including cycle counts, aging reports, on time delivery, shipping schedules, etc.
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
Issues written and oral instructions
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
Manages and drives improvements in customer service order entry processes, freight and billing processes, and logistics coordination
Assures safety compliance with all applicable regulations and plant protection activities
Standardizes & ensures compliance of Hershey’s Salty Snacks policies
Oversees metrics & handles escalations
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
Proven ability to manage, direct, and foster a team-oriented environment
Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) operations and development
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrate leadership & decision-making abilities
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
5-7 years of warehouse/shipping experience, including supervision of employees
3-5 years knowledge of warehousing and inventory movement processes and controls
Management experience preferred
S4 HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) experience is preferred
2 + years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry is preferred
VisiTrak experience is preferred

hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands to arms.
The employee is
occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 10 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
