Lead Preschool Teacher

This is a unique opportunity to start a career with the Duneland Family YMCA! This person will assist in delivering an age-appropriate educational preschool program utilizing a developmentally appropriate research based curriculum.
* Plans for and teaches classes as scheduled.
* Maintains a thorough understanding of subject material.
* Creates effective student learning experiences.
* Documents teaching performance objectives.
Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to monitor and manage student learning.
* Ensures the safety of all children; maintains a high level of confidentiality.
* Cultivate relationships with parents, school personnel, and community partners.
* Assist in supervision of assigned program staff and volunteers, including but not limited to ensuring adherence to work schedule, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring staff follows policies and procedures.
* Support an inclusive educational environment.
Qualifications * BS Degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education or an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
* Indiana Teaching License preferred.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.
