Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our Maintenance Team.
This person must embrace change, be self-motivated, and inspire others inside and outside the department.

*ABOUT THE JOB:* *POSITION SUMMARY:*This position will manage, plan, organize, lead and direct maintenance and tooling personnel and systems to optimize equipment reliability, effectiveness, ensure plant safety, and maintain internal and external plant facilities.
This position will ensure that maintenance personnel will follow procedures, processes, work instructions, etc.
in accordance with maintenance best practices, while operating in a team-based environment.
Will also ensure that the security of the building is maintained and work directly with the team leadership as it pertains to those activities.
*WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:* · Champion health and safety initiative within the maintenance functions.
· Must have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems and diagrams.
· Responsible for transforming the maintenance organization to a best-in-class maintenance organization through effective people leadership as well as the use of LEAN based tools such as Visual Management Systems, SMED, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) · Establish a culture centered around asset & process reliability by using RCM best practices i.
e.
, predictive technologies, precision maintenance, root cause failure analysis, etc.
· Transition the maintenance group to a heavily metrics-based organization that helps support overall Plant business objectives.
· Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports.
· Execute the policy deployment process within the maintenance functions.
· Assess, train, and develop competencies within the maintenance organization.
· Specify a maintenance plan for each equipment system.
The plan should include predictive maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, inspection & monitoring activities, spare parts requirements, and organizational requirements, to ensure asset and process reliability.
· metrics includes MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance performance, tool and die repair scheduling and maintenance of tools, departmental budget, workforce utilization, etc.
· Manage day-to-day maintenance activities (break/fix), and work with Operations and Engineering on improvement of OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).
· Identify and procure materials for maintenance and tooling requirements.
· Support an operating culture within area of responsibility that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust and respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence.
· Lead and participate in problem solving teams, TPM activities, and other kaizen events in order to improve operating performance and safety; leader will be a core member of the management team that will lead engineered solutions for minimizing safety risks in plant.
· Lead efforts to ensure building security, exterior grounds safety and building structure integrity.
Ensure electrical infrastructure meets compliance codes and is safe and robust for operator usage.
· Provide technical support in parallel with Engineering on projects involving electrical and mechanical functionality; lead ROI calculations on maintenance related investments to submit to Plant Management · Drive the use of existing CMMS tools and enhance as appropriate; drive cultural shift to ensure actionable data is captured and executed upon in a way that drives continuous improvement and asset reliability.
· Supervision of Tool & Die Technician and Maintenance personnel.
*WHAT YOU’LL NEED:* · The successful candidate will have a minimum of an associate degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering (Technical Degree).
· Ten years’ experience as a supervisor or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
· Fifteen years’ experience in maintenance or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
· Demonstrated past successes in transformational activities in the maintenance organization to support business objectives.
· Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Special training and/or certifications in maintenance is a plus.

· Certifications desirable: CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma green belt or higher.
