*JOB DESCRIPTION* *Title: * Project Manager (Youth) *Exemption Status: *Non-Exempt *Reports to:* Senior Workforce Associate *OVERVIEW: * This position is responsible for the development and implementation of both short and long term projects related to workforce, education and economic development, and related initiatives, focusing on the youth population.
The individual will recommend and implement steps to operationalize the work needed to support the various projects from plans developed, including the tracking, reporting and ensuring of project performance.
Will work with contracted youth providers, be a member and/or lead committees and task forces and interact with the community in general to support the work and to assist in the overall success of CWI initiatives.
This position will coordinate but also carry out project efforts and participate in project deliverables.
*DUTIES: * * Ensure all projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget * Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives involving relevant stakeholders * Development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress * Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and project cost using appropriate verification techniques * Track and ensure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and report on progress * Successfully manage relationships with youth providers and customers * Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation * Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with Senior Workforce Associate to discuss progress and planning * Coordination with CWI marketing team and Senior Workforce Associate on implementing marketing and other strategies needed for project * Keep abreast of current industry intelligence information available within our region.
* Coordinate internal resources for the execution of projects * Provide leadership and coaching to provider staff * Manage performance of project staff on a continuous basis through tracking of performance outcomes, identification of performance strengths and developmental needs, and providing needed training * Understand and interpret data needed to meet and exceed performance metrics and ensure youth provider meets all Performance Metrics * Demonstrate and hold staff to the CWI professional communication and workplace standards.
* Understand and interpret the intent and ensure the adherence of federal/state/regional policy, guidance and memos * Implement special projects as assigned and ensure performance is met * Submit required reports in a timely manner * Contribute as a team member to ensure WorkOne Center performance standards are met and/or exceeded, and in compliance with Federal, State, Regional and WorkOne standards * Assist CWI staff on NextGen events * Other duties as assigned *ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE: * Academic Credentials Must possess Bachelor’s in Business, Human Resources, or related field (experience may be substituted for degree).
Work Experience Requirements Two years of professional level experience in workforce development or related field.
Excellent technology skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Other Requirements Must be able to travel independently, provide own transportation, have a valid driver’s license and demonstrate proof of insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000.
