The Group Home Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the property (including indoor, outdoor and vehicle maintenance), household and program operations, assisting in the development and implementation of instructional plans and activities to meet established goals and objectives, participating in a team approach, and performing job responsibilities in a manner which complies with federal, state, agency and program regulations, policies and procedures, and ensures the health, training and safety of participants in a supervised living setting.

The days and shifts will vary, in addition, evenings and weekends are required for Assistant Manager positions.
Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor Group Home Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the implementation and maintenance of Individual Prescriptive Plans (ISP) and all related programming.
Assist QIDP and Group Home Manager in the planning of instructional activities designed to meet coordinated IPP goals and objectives.
(This shall include implementation of activities recommended by ancillary staff).
Assist QIDP and Group Home Manager in the planning and implementation of other ICF/MR Federal Regulations, Medicaid and/or Fire Marshall required activities (including, but not limited to, the following areas: active treatment, emergency evacuation, tornado and fire drills, assistance with participant finances, nutrition and medical care).
Participate in annual case conferences and/or staffing for participants with other appropriate members of the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain all necessary documentation in electronic and paper records, reports, and file participant information.
Maintain assigned property to include, but not limited to, indoor, outdoor and vehicle maintenance.
Supervise and monitor medical needs of participants including, but not limited to: scheduled appointments, emergency procedures, surgeries, medication administration and the planning and arrangement of these things.
Complete the number of required hours of in-service training annually.
Attend appropriate program, agency and other organizational meetings.
Attend all in-service and agency meetings, as required.
Insure accountability for cost center expenditures.
Demonstrate appropriate role model for staff and participants.
Demonstrate teamwork with staff and participants in the agency.
Maintain acceptable work standards in all areas including attendance and punctuality.
This position is responsible for the supervision of: Group Home Direct Support Professional.
Be available for calls as needed for emergency situations during non-traditional work hours.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Driver's License, with a driving record acceptable to Opportunity Enterprises, Inc.
insurance carrier.
Demonstrates ability to perform responsibilities through education, prior training and/or experience.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must have high school diploma/GED.
Must pass pre-screening requirements (i.
e.
Drug screening, TB Test, and Background check)
