RESPONSIBILITIES: The Environmental Services Assistant Supervisor for the Second Shift supports the Environmental Services Manager in the operational management of the custodial and moving teams.
They work to motivate others to maximize employee performance to ensure cleaning services are delivered safely, efficiently, and hygienically while enforcing Culver policies and procedures.
The duties include having a full working knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment operations, and chemicals.
Employee recruitment, scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluating.
Assists with assigning work orders and preparing requisitions for department supplies and equipment.
Assists in cleaning buildings, including entrances, walks, and steps, and is responsible for weekend coverage.
REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma with three years of custodial maintenance experience and one year of supervisory experience, including budget management is required.
Must be knowledgeable about chemical cleaning mixtures, procedures, and safety compliance and must have a general working knowledge of all phases of Custodial Operations.
This position requires writing and editing effectively and communicating the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and authority when necessary.
Candidates will also have the ability to meet people with ease and the ability to work effectively within every level of the organization.
They will also have strong organizational, and problem-solving skills, and highly developed computer skills.
This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
