The Union Tool Corporation, located in Warsaw, Indiana, is a 80 year old, fourth generation family owned business.
We specialize in building custom made machinery for multiple industries focusing on creating solutions for our customers.
We are looking to add a Plant Manager to our staff.
The Plant Manager will work with all departments and will be a self-motivated problem solver who finds solutions to highly technical and complex challenges:

*Objective*
This position is responsible for all managing all production activities and employees.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
1.
Oversee production of equipment, ensure timely completion of jobs as specified.
2.
Manage and supervise production employees, assign work as required.
3.
Determine staffing requirements and oversee the interviewing and hiring of new employees with assistance of Human Resources.
4.
Conduct evaluations of all shop employees.
5.
Understand, implement and enforce safety programs as necessary.
6.
Establish policies and procedures as necessary, conferring with management.
7.
Proactively follow-up with sales, engineering and purchasing as issues arise to minimize possible delays in production.
8.
Monitor financial statements, sales and production reports to measure productivity and identify areas needing improvement.
9.
Manage efficient use of company materials
10.
Ensure efficient management of quality and cost control.
11.
Coordinate repair and maintenance work as needed in the shop.
12.
Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, and general machine maintenance
· General experience with welding and machine fabrication
· Strong understanding of machine blueprints
· Able to manage medium size staff
· Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners and other third parties as required
· High attention to detail
· Be able to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects & priorities to meet deadlines
· Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
· Prior experience with ERP systems preferred
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office needed
This is a full-time, salaried position with a full benefit package offered, including paid holidays.
The hours of this position are four (4) ten hour days: Monday through Thursday.
Friday (overtime) as needed.
Salary dependent on experience & qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
