The Senior Reliability Engineer provides leadership and expertise to predict, prevent, eliminate, or reduce equipment failures through application of reliability techniques.
This position will partner and guide a team of engineering technicians to achieve asset-equipment reliability goals in line with business strategies and objectives, design and implement reliability improvement standards, and provide and support training programs to increase resources capabilities and support the introduction of new equipment or modifications to achieve world class maintenance reliability.

Key responsibilities: Lead and coordinate actions to resolve equipment reliability, compliance, and maintenance problems for the production equipment.
Lead/drive and continuously improve the Asset Management Program.
Provide reliability engineering expertise and maintain a high level of proficiency and business acumen.
Integrate, lead and direct reliability engineering initiatives to improve parts availability, lead obsolescence plan, reduce equipment downtime and reduce cost.
Plan, schedule, conduct and lead various engineering projects/initiatives, ensuring all initiatives adhere to acceptable engineering practices and compliance regulations, and are run within budget.
Assist with solving problems, discrepancies, and investigations of failure modes and/or nonconformance.
Analyzes new processes and equipment with the intent of achieving continuous improvement of present methods.
Measures performance to targets and implements remedial actions as instructed.
Develops process documentation and training materials for new processes, materials, and equipment.
Support daily operations through attendance at pulse walks and the timely closure of actions.
Support of Internal Audit, External Audit, and NC action plans Support attainment of key business metrics through the provision of engineering support for value stream processes.
Support elimination of safety and quality risks in the process through implementation of robust engineering solutions.
Actively promote a safety culture Responsible for presenting business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Responsible for mentoring entry level engineering team members and co-op students Qualifications Qualifications - External Education: A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required with a focus degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
Required: A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience is required.
Experience working with equipment reliability, maintenance, and/or asset management concepts.
Knowledge of OEE, FMECA, FRACAS, MTTR & MTBF Metrics Experience with different maintenance strategies included but not limited to Fixed Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Conditioned Based Maintenance Ability to make effective management level presentations and write formal reports keeping in mind the technical and business aspects.
Knowledge of process excellence lean, six sigma tools and methodologies.
Preferred: Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), vision systems, computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) Experience within Medical device industry Experience with CNC equipment Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification Project Management Trainings or Certifications (FPx, AGILE, PMP, others) Other: This position may require up to 10% travel for domestic and/or international travel.
