ACCOUNTING CLERK – JOB DESCRIPTION
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
The Accounting Clerk performs routine clerical, filing and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing data entry.
The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the accounting department, managers from the assigned division and reports to the Accounting Manager.
Accounting Clerk duties will include, but are not limited to:
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing processes
Manage company email on daily basis
Communicate with customers and vendors
File and box accounting paperwork on a daily and monthly basis
Attend department meetings and other necessary meetings
Perform duties as requested by Accounting Manager which includes absence coverage and coverage across all entities of the company
Audit daily paperwork and record verified discrepancies
Receive, organize, and track store’s daily paperwork
Enter store data into Excel spreadsheets and accounting software
Month end coupon reconciliation, house charge accounts billing
Reconcile daily credit card activity and monitor and respond to chargeback requests
Experience/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to establish and meet deadlines and to quickly develop clear priorities
Proficient in entering a high volume of transactions or documents
Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented to produce timely and accurate results
Must be a self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to function effectively as a team member yet work independently
Hours:
The Accounting Clerk is a full time position and works 40 hours per week
Salary/Income:
The Accounting Clerk is a non- exempt, hourly position
