Job Overview Right from the start, you will have exposure to the fundamentals of banking, positions and departments to establish a core understanding of banking.
You will engage in project based work and networking opportunities while receiving guidance from your leader.
You will develop professional and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career.
The Wealth Management intern will provide support to Wealth Management Team as they develop new wealth management business in which the bank is acting as trustee, executor, administrator, conservator, guardian, depositor or agent.
This summer internship is in-person at our Michigan City Corporate office for up to 20 hours per week.
Duties Assist with logistics for client events.
Review and evaluate operational efficiencies, making recommendations for improvements.
Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions Complete required training associated with job function.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and be a major in finance, business management, business administration, accounting, communication, journalism, sales, marketing, IT, or a related field.
Must be a sophomore, junior or senior at the start of the internship.

Accountable for adherence to compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), quality of documentation, timeliness and the ability to exercise prudent judgment for solutions from unexpected situations that arise.
Actively protect confidentiality of customer and account information.

Able to exchange accurate information with others.

90-100% Able to grasp, move and sort forms and papers.
90-100% Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, printer and telephone 90-100% Able to remain stationary at a desk for long periods of time.
75-100% Regularly move about the office to access file cabinets, storage drawers and various office equipment 75-100% Occasionally position self to reach heights between floor and 6’ <25% Occasional travel may be required to attend seminars and meetings.
Some overnight travel may be required.
