SAP FICO Financial Analyst

Description Summary of the position: The SAP FICO Financial Analyst works with the US & global finance, accounting, and leadership teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information for all aspects of planning, consolidations, and reporting.
The position provides leadership and expertise in SAP FICO configuration, reporting and processes.
The SAP FICO Financial Analyst will be located at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC in Michigan City, Indiana.
Duties and responsibilities: Provide guidance and influence the design, development and support of the FICO module of SAP.
Provide technical input, mentor and train other Finance team members on SAP functionality, reporting and data analysis.
Work with SAP users and IT to ensure system is configure appropriately for the business processes and requirements Provide leadership for the cost accounting process, including standard costs, purchase and production variance analysis and inventory management Work closely with the US & global finance teams to coordinate all aspects of financial and business planning, consolidations, and reporting.
Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support on business unit profitability, departmental costs, and other performance metrics.
Support special projects which enable Hitachi Global Air Power to deliver on overall growth and profitability initiatives.
Support global SAP S4/HANA ERP project.
Qualifications: Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field with at least 10 years of experience in finance CPA or MBA preferred Professional experience: Experience with SAP ERP systems required.
SAP FICO module expertise required, including inventory & standard cost accounting, variance analysis and financial reporting Experience and proficiency in Oracle Cloud EPM, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or equivalent preferred.
Experience with Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow preparation and analysis.
Understanding of both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The ability to build and model financial data in Microsoft Excel at a highly proficient level.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with the CFO, President, US & global finance teams, and business leadership on a routine basis.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience.
Ability to deliver time-sensitive analyses in a fast-paced environment.
