Job Overview Provide expert analysis and support for priority corporate IT projects supporting finance initiatives related to efficiency, reporting, documentation, and process improvements.
Responsible for performing financial analysis to evaluate operational performance and support budgeting and decision-making, as well as produce reports related to daily/monthly/quarterly financial and production results.
Ensure accuracy, automation and understanding of system-wide, key statistics that drive revenue and costs.
Increases opportunities for adoption and usage of key statistics in reporting and accountability.
Ensure all projects and outcomes are conducted in compliance with state and federal regulation and company policies and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Principal Accountabilities Gather requirements, design, create, and deploy reports that support financial reporting initiatives.
Develop custom, data-driven and responsive visualizations and dashboards for business users of various backgrounds and expertise.
Represent the Bank to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional manner in face-to-face, written and telephone communications.
Accountable for adherence to compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), quality of project implementation and meeting project financial and service goals.
Actively protect confidentiality of customer and account information.
Demonstrate Horizon Bank’s commitment to the communities we serve through involvement in local organizations and events.
Duties Perform administrative tasks and system maintenance including managing business rules, uploading / downloading critical data, updating lookup tables, troubleshooting issues, administering security and access to Horizon’s financial reporting platform Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective & efficient application configuration; Work directly with third-party vendors in all aspects of setup, administration and support of financial reporting systems.
Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data integrity and standardized end user processes.
Development of User Documentation and Training Materials.
Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and instructions.
Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information private and confidential.
Participate in ongoing skill, compliance, risk management and security training as required for the position and apply knowledge in daily tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills College degree in IT, or finance and 2 years IT, Finance or Operations experience in financial services.
Must possess and demonstrate a strong knowledge of financial management and accounting theory and practice.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and data literacy skills Strong knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, bank employees and outside service providers.
Experience using Axiom financial reporting platform preferred Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgment.
